The mechanism of action of heat-stress-resistant feed additives is generally to regulate heat-induced stress-induced acid-base balance, nutrition and metabolic disorders, improve production performance, and reduce the body's sensitivity to heat stress. Commonly used are:
1. Vitamin Vitamin C is the most reported heat stress additive at home and abroad, which can reduce the death caused by heat stress and increase the egg production rate. Vitamin E has the function of protecting cell membrane from oxidation and improving immunity. It has a certain effect on preventing heat stress; B vitamins also have a role in relieving heat stress, increasing growth rate, increasing egg weight and egg production. According to reports, adding 100 to 150 mg/kg of vitamin C in feeds at high temperatures can significantly increase egg shell thickness, reduce shelled eggs and shell eggs, improve eggshell color, and reduce bacterial infections; add 100 to 300 mg/kg vitamin E has anti-stress, anti-oxidation, and promotes peripheral blood circulation, which reduces the chicken's stress sensitivity.
2. Zinc Bacitracin Zinc Bacillus Peptide is a heat stress reliever with good application effect. According to experiments, the addition of 100-150 mg/kg bacitracin zinc in layer diets can increase egg production by 20%, feed conversion by 10%, and eggshell thickness.
3. Chlorpromazine added 30 mg/kg chlorpromazine to feed, which can inhibit central nervous activity, reduce body movement, and relieve heat stress.
4. Fumaric acid fumaric acid has a sedative effect. Adding 0.1% fumaric acid to feed can significantly relieve heat stress and increase appetite and promote weight gain.
5. Asophanic acid is a commonly used organic arsenic preparation, which has the effects of promoting growth, improving feed utilization, and increasing pigmentation. According to experiments, 60 mg/kg azasanoic acid was added to the layer diet in summer, and the egg production rate, egg weight and egg production were increased by 16.8%, 3.4% and 17.6% respectively compared to the control. Asbulin has a certain mitigation effect on heat stress.
6. Baking soda, namely sodium bicarbonate, has a stomachic and regulating blood acid-base balance. Adding 0.3 to 1% to the diet or adding 0.1 to 0.2% baking soda in drinking water can significantly reduce heat stress in the chicken body.
7. When heat stress is applied to chickens, the amount of heat dissipated by chickens increases, blood pH increases, and respiratory alkalosis is prone to occur. Adding appropriate amount of ammonium chloride to the diet or drinking water can reduce blood pH and relieve heat stress. According to reports, adding 0.2 to 0.3% ammonium chloride in drinking water can increase the weight gain.
8. Chinese herbal medicine is rich in vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids and other nutrients, can improve chicken production performance and immunity, and have the role of heat stress. Such as honeysuckle, Radix, atractylodes, gentian, musk, etc., according to the proportion of 1% added to the feed, can increase chicken production rate, reduce mortality.
9. The watermelon rind is chopped into the watermelon rind. Each day, the chicken is fed about 50 grams each time. The chicken is fed three times and fed separately at noon. Stir in the feed in the morning and evening to improve the heat resistance of the chicken.
