“Pak Sha Yu Chun†radish was approved by the Guangdong Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2006 and has been promoted in Guangdong, Guangxi, and Fujian provinces.
The variety has good yield, generally 667 square meters (1 acre) yield more than 4000 kg. The plants were erect, with a plant height of 65 cm, pinnate fissures, 22 to 25 leaves, 30 to 34 cm in length, and 12 pairs of leaflets. The fleshy roots are long cylindrical, the flesh is white, the epidermis is smooth, the roots are few, the root length is 30-36 cm, the transverse diameter is 7-9 cm, and the single root weight is 0.8-1.5 kg. More resistant to downy mildew and virus disease, low temperature resistance, strong winteriness, resistance to twitching, not easy to be hollow, excellent commercial traits. Generally 65 days after sowing, the single root weight can reach 0.8 kilograms or more, and the dish still does not worry for 30 days. The south-central part of Guangdong is suitable for sowing in winter and early spring, and other areas are suitable for late autumn sowing.
