Antibacterial effect
Angelica has antibacterial effects on dysentery, typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, Escherichia coli, diphtheria bacilli, Vibrio cholerae, and a, B hemolytic streptococci. Po this product can reduce the capillary permeability of mice. External application can accelerate wound healing in rabbit ear, make local congestion, white blood cell and fiber infiltration, regeneration of newborn epithelium, and stop bleeding and strengthen peripheral circulation on local tissue. It shows that Angelica has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. Clinical can be used for suppurative maxillary sinusitis, acute nephritis, arterial phlebitis, scleroderma and psoriasis and other diseases. The hot water extract of Angelica sinensis has an obvious inhibitory effect on acute rheumatic disease in experimental animal models.
Other effects
1. Antiasthmatic effect
Chinese medicine practitioners believe that Angelica treats coughing up and up. It has been proved that angelica component n-butyrolactone and ligustilide have a relaxing effect on tracheal smooth muscle; and can fight against histamine-acetylcholine-induced bronchial asthma.
2. Has protective effect on rabbit renal ischemia
Angelica can improve glomerular filtration function and renal tubular reabsorption after 60 minutes of renal ischemia in rabbits, reduce renal damage, promote the recovery of renal tubular disease, and have a protective effect on the kidney.
3. Effects on substance metabolism
Advanced techniques such as counter-immunoelectrophoresis, isotope tracing and electron microscopy have shown that angelica can make cultured liver cells in vitro.
The synthesis of white matter increases and promotes the synthesis of DNA and RNA. Clinically confirmed that Angelica can reduce the turbidity of patients thymol. When the mice were fed diets of Angelica sinensis, the endogenous respiration of liver tissue was enhanced, and the ability of oxidizing glutamic acid was significantly increased. It has a protective effect against liver damage caused by carbon tetrachloride and can prevent the decrease of hepatic glycogen. Both experimental and clinical studies have shown that Angelica sinensis has a hypolipidemic effect on hyperlipidemia, and its effects are similar to those of Antimalamine and other drugs. It promotes the production of 2.3-diphosphate in animal and human ex vivo cells, reduces the affinity of hemoglobin and oxygen, and promotes the release of oxygen from hemoglobin in tissues, thereby increasing the function of red blood cells to transport oxygen.
4. Antioxidant and scavenging free radicals
Radix Angelicae Sinensis has significant inhibitory effect on the increase of lipid peroxidation in brain tissues after cerebral hypoxia and ischemia reperfusion. The contained ferulic acid has a direct reduction of H2O2 content, and is combined with the membrane phosphatidylethanolamine to antagonize the damage to the tissue by direct elimination of free radicals, inhibition of oxidation reaction and free radical reaction.
