In response to the lack of water resources in Wenshan and other places, droughts in dry fields, and frequent occurrence of corn leaf spot disease in recent years, the Food Crops Research Institute has strengthened the application of foreign advanced science and technology, and selected “Wenludao No. 4” and “Yunlu 100”. Good land rice varieties such as "Yunlu 101" and "Yunlu 102", as well as a large number of back-up materials, will increase yield through the selection and promotion of new varieties; Actively screen new varieties of upland rice and promote advanced cultivation techniques to achieve high yields and stable yields.

In addition, in the traditional maize production area of ​​southern Fujian, the Food Crops Research Institute has selected and applied high-yield and stable-producing upland rice varieties and hybrid maize varieties, and promoted standardized upland rice intercropping maize to increase grain diversity and forage diversity, alleviate disease occurrence, and improve compound production.
