After winter and spring pruning, summer topping, shortening branches, or removing tender shoots should be done. For disease and pest control, common issues include dry rot and early leaf fall. During the summer and autumn seasons, if symptoms appear, Bordeaux mixture can be applied before flowering. During the flowering period, thiophanate-methyl solution helps manage the issue. After flowering, during the fruit expansion phase, anti-viral or anti-microbial sprays should be used every 7–10 days. Stop applying chemicals at least a month before harvest. Additionally, using fruit bags during the young fruit stage significantly reduces the risk of dry rot, improving fruit quality and marketability.
