Recommended Herbicides: Through comparative trials, tribenuron (also known as Tribenuron or Tribenuron-methyl) has shown the best results. Some of the most effective and cost-efficient options include: 10% Anhui Huaxing Meibao at 7.5–15g per acre, 10% Xuanhua Mai Lele at 10–15g per acre, 75% Gold Warehouse at 1–2g per acre, and 18% DuPont's Broadstrike at 5–10g per acre. (Note: As the dosage increases, so does the effectiveness, but it's important to stay within safe limits. For intercropped peanuts, cotton, and vegetables, use the lower end of the dosage range. For corn and millet, the upper limit is acceptable.)
Important Note: Herbicides containing 2,4-D such as 2,4-D Butyl Chloride or Dipotassium Salt are not recommended. Many of these products are sold under names like "Scoop" or "Cai Kuai Kuai." Be sure to check the active ingredients. These products may not fully eliminate weeds and can cause phytotoxicity to wheat.
Application Method: Before spraying, it's best to mix a small amount of water with the herbicide to create a concentrated solution, then dilute it further before application. Apply no less than two sprayers per acre to ensure even coverage across the field.
Best Time for Application: The ideal time to apply is after the second leaf stage of wheat, typically from mid-November to early December. The temperature should be above 5°C. While the effect may be slower in colder conditions, it won’t compromise the final outcome. Always make sure to follow label instructions and consider weather conditions before applying.
