First, the symptoms of boron deficiency in rapeseed. The boron deficiency in rapeseed can show different symptoms at different growth stages, but it is most obvious in seedling stage, bud stage and flower and fruit stage.

Second, the choice of commodity boron fertilizer. The main measure to solve the shortage of boron in rapeseed is to increase boron fertilizer. At present, there are many manufacturers of boron fertilizers, and many manufacturers use industrial waste residue, boron ore, or scraps produced from borax and boric acid to be formulated into various boron-containing compound fertilizers, such as boron and magnesium fertilizers, boron mud fertilizers, and composite boron fertilizers. These are boron fertilizers with low boron content. They do not meet the standard requirements and application effects of boron fertilizers. They should only be used as base fertilizers. Therefore, hope that the majority of rapeseed growers do not want to be cheap, when buying boron fertilizer must be purchased from the regular manufacturers of qualified boron fertilizer. "Five Zengpai" Boron Fertilizer This product is produced by Hunan Agricultural University and Hunan Provincial Grain and Oil Production Technical Service Center. It is a special boron fertilizer for rapeseed. The active component of borax is ≥95% and boron is more than 11.0%. It is suitable for foliar spraying.

"Shen Long Brand" Boron Fertilizer This product is produced by the Hunan Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences and is a special boron fertilizer for rapeseed. This product is based on boric acid, adding rare earth, active agents and other preparations, the effective boron content of more than 38%, boron elements of more than 12%, especially for leaf spraying foliar.

Third, boron fertilizer application method. Boron fertilizer can be used as basal fertilizer, top dressing and foliar fertilizer. No matter which method is used, it must be based on soil boron content and field performance of rapeseed.

1, base fertilizer application. The application of boron fertilizer as base fertilizer is suitable for severely deficient boron soil. The method of use is to use fine soil or farm organic fertilizer to mix well with 1 to 1.5 kg of borax before broadcast or transplanted rapeseed, evenly apply or apply borax, and avoid boron directly. Seed (live) or young (transplant) seeds should be contacted to prevent growth of seeds or seedlings due to borin burns. The method can meet the demand for boron during the entire growth and development of rapeseed. It is worth noting that the amount of borax should not exceed 2.0 kg/mu even in severely deficient boron soils, because excessive boron can cause boron poisoning in the crops, and boron can also reduce absorption with other trace elements such as zinc and molybdenum. The rate has led to the inadequacy of other trace elements that affect the growth of rapeseed.

2, foliar spray. The application of boron fertilizer is suitable for medium and mild boron deficient soils. The optimum application period is 2 times (15 days apart) when the seedling stage (before and after flower bud differentiation) and the bolting stage (15 to 30 cm in height). Application, each borax or boric acid 50 to 100 grams, 60 to 70 kilograms of water, selected sunny afternoon spray, spraying the uniformity of the front and back of the rape leaf full of fog droplets is appropriate. 3, dry and dry rotation. The adoption of an agrarian and dry farming system is one of the effective ways to overcome the lack of boron in the soil. Through continuous adjustment of the farming system, rotation of crop varieties, increase of organic farmhouse fertilizer, pay attention to the scientific ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients, not excessive partial nitrogen fertilizer, can effectively increase the utilization of boron.
