How to reasonably apply fertilizer

The application of manure should be considered from factors such as crop types, soil properties, climatic conditions, and fertilizer properties. Appropriate application should be made according to local conditions so as to better exert its fertilizer efficiency. Crop species. Crops with a long growing period and a vigorous growing season in high temperature seasons, such as corn, potato, sweet potato, cotton, and hemp, can be applied with semi-rotten manure. For crops with shorter growing seasons, it is necessary to use the manure with higher maturity. Soil properties. Fertilizers should first be distributed on soils with low fertility. Sandy soil has good permeability, manure is easy to decompose, and it can be applied to semi-mature manure, and it should not be used too much at a time, and it can be applied more deeply. For sticky soil, decomposed manure should be applied. Because of good fertilizer retention, the amount of one-time use can be larger, and it should not be overturned. Climatic conditions. In areas with low rainfall and low temperatures or in seasons, it is advisable to select mature manure and plow more deeply. In areas with high rainfall, high temperatures, or seasonal conditions, semi-mature manure can be applied and turned over slightly. Fertilizer properties. The semi-rotten manure is only used as base fertilizer. The decomposed manure can be used as a base fertilizer as well as a seed fertilizer and a top dressing. When top dressing is applied, it must be covered with soil.
