OFweek Medical Technology Network Beijing January 27 news medical device giant Medtronic announced on the 26th the completion of the acquisition of Ke Hui Medical. Based on the closing price of Medtronic's $75.59 per share on the 26th, the total cash and stock acquisitions were approximately $49.9 billion.
Under the terms of the M&A Agreement, Medtronic and Kehui Medical merged into Medtronic Limited. The issued ordinary shares of Kehui Medical Company have been converted into US$35.19 plus 0.956 shares of Medtronic’s common stock at the time of delivery. The issued ordinary shares of Medtronic have been converted into ordinary shares of Medtronic Limited per share. Medtronic's shares will then be traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
Medtronic said that the acquisition will not affect its financial report for the third quarter of this fiscal year (as of January 23, 2015).
