The prevention of vulcanization of tractor battery plates

During the use of the tractor battery, due to evaporation of water and spillage of the solution, the liquid level in the battery is decreased, and the plates are in contact with the air to cause the capacity to decrease, resulting in vulcanization of the plates. The symptom of the battery plate after vulcanization is that the surface of the plate is covered with a layer of white frost. When the plate is opened, the cover of the fluid can be seen. After the battery plate is vulcanized, it cannot be converted into lead dioxide sponge-like aluminum during normal charging to form lead sulfate hardening. After the lead sulfate is hardened, the coarse grains are easy to clog the gaps of the plates, making it difficult for the electrolyte to infiltrate and increase the internal resistance, so that the active material participating in the reaction in the plates is reduced and the battery capacity is reduced. The main reasons for the cure of the battery plate are as follows: 1. The battery is in a state of complete discharge or semi-charge for a long period of time. As the temperature increases, part of the lead sulfate is baked into the electrolyte until the electrolyte saturates. When the temperature drops, the lead sulfate is precipitated from the saturated electrolyte and crystallized to the nearby plate 2. The liquid level of the electrolyte is too low and the plate is exposed to air for a long period of time. It is exposed to air and oxidized. The liquid electrolyte oscillates on the surface during running and comes into contact with the oxidized portion to produce coarse grains of lead sulfate. 3, after the battery discharges itself without timely recharging, it is easy to cure the plate. After the plate is vulcanized, the coarse lead sulfate is distributed on the surface of the active material. Blocking the voids of the active material causes difficulty in the penetration of the electrolyte and increases its resistance. After the tractor battery has been vulcanized, the capacity of the battery deteriorates, the electrical conductivity is poor, the voltage value decreases, and the current intensity decreases. When the tractor is started, a large current cannot be supplied in time, so that the tractor cannot start normally. Exclusion of the phenomenon of storage battery and preventive measures: when the battery board to view the sulfur ratio, it is best to pour the original electrolyte, add distilled water, so that the liquid surface higher than the plate 10-15 mm. Then use 2- 3 ampere current charging. The electrolyte temperature must not exceed 40°C during charging. During the charging process, the specific gravity of the electrolyte must be repeatedly checked. When the specific gravity of the electrolyte rises to 1.15, some of the electrolyte can be withdrawn and refilled. Distilled water dilute, continue to educate until the proportion no longer rises. Then use 10 hours discharge, and then charge with additional charge current, so that the cycle charge and discharge until the battery capacity is not less than 90% of the rated capacity. Why to charge it? Its purpose is to plate the surface of the aluminum sulfate hardened layer All substances are converted into active substances, and the specific gravity of the electrolyte can be used up to the normal value. The measures for preventing plate vulcanization are as follows: 1 During use, the height of the electrolyte liquid should be kept within the specified value range, especially during the summer. 2 If not used for a long time, the battery should be removed from the tractor and stored in a dry room for storage. 3 Do not place the semi-discharge battery in a long position. If it is not used, it should be periodically recharged to keep the battery fully charged. 4 It is forbidden to store the battery in the outdoor sun or rain for a long time. 5 It is strictly prohibited to discharge a large number of continuous currents.
