It’s Sunday once again, and that means it’s time for one of my favorite moments of the week—Sunday Citar!
Here’s where we all come together to share a quote or two. Whether it’s something new, inspiring, humorous, or even tear-jerking, it’s a chance to celebrate the words that resonate with us this week. (Citar = to quote in Spanish)

Baby Bumps

“Always kiss your children goodnight—even if they’re already asleep.”
~H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

I don’t think I’ve ever met a child quite like my little one. My bold, adventurous soul is always dancing, running, and trying to keep pace with their older sibling. But life has its challenges, and sometimes those hard edges—like the cold tile of the bathroom floor—catch up with them. My baby boy got his first black eye recently, and every day, it seems to take on another shade of color. Though I know it will fade, it’s just one more reminder of the small battles they face daily.
I’ve realized that having a son brings some added layers to my favorite part of the nightly routine—the long hugs, sweet kisses, rocking, and cuddling. For him, there are simply more “ouchies” to kiss better, and I can’t help but give every single one the attention it deserves.

--- As I sit here reflecting on this week, I am reminded of how much joy these little moments bring. Whether it’s the giggles shared during playtime or the quiet warmth of a bedtime hug, each day is filled with such tiny, yet profound, blessings. It’s funny how life often presents itself in ways we never expect. Just yesterday, while flipping through an old book, I stumbled upon a quote that felt like it was written just for me. It went something like this: “The best moments in life aren’t planned—they happen when you least expect them.” Isn’t that true? Life rarely follows a straight path, and perhaps that’s what makes it so beautiful. Each twist and turn leads us to unexpected places, introducing us to people, ideas, and experiences that shape who we are. So here’s to embracing the unplanned, the messy, and the magical moments that make life worth living. Let me know what inspires you this week. Are there any quotes or thoughts that have stuck with you lately? Share them in the comments or link them in your Sunday Citar post—I’d love to hear from you! Until next time, keep sharing the light, one word at a time.
