Repeated diarrhea for more than 4 years, has been treated as "gastroenteritis" by local hospitals, and finally diagnosed with a huge tumor in the right liver. Yesterday, Mr. Wu successfully underwent tumor resection at Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University. Dr. Fang Chihua, the doctor in charge of the operation, said that the operation is complicated and very difficult. If the liver model is not guided by 3D printing, the resection can not be completed.

It is reported that the use of 3D printing guide to complete complex liver tumor resection is the first case in China.

The tumor is "shaped like a small watermelon"

The tumor of Mr. Wu's liver is large, with a length, width and height of more than 10 cm. The medical staff of Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University described it as "shaped like a small watermelon." However, the large tumor volume is not the biggest difficulty in surgery. There are three variations in the patient's pulmonary artery and portal vein. The team must break through the precise determination of the surgical resection plane, and ensure that the important vessels are not cut off while the tumor is being removed.

If you use the conventional right lung resection method, clearing Mr. Wu's tumor at least should cut off 59.24% of the lungs. "This is not feasible, because patients with cirrhosis, liver surgery patients must be kept at least 50% of liver surgery, less than 50% will be postoperative liver failure, life-threatening and even death." Professor Fang Chihua said.

Model allows doctors to visually recognize

In this difficult operation, the digital medical team led by Prof. Fang Chihua used 3D printing technology to successfully print out the liver simulation stereo model of this liver cancer patient.

The team brought the model into the operating room for the surgeon to identify and locate key locations in real time, guiding the separation of important vessels and the removal of tumor lesions. After more than five hours of surgery, the giant tumor was successfully resected and the operation was successfully completed.

Professor Fang Chihua said that with the help of 3D printing technology, they developed and implemented the best resection plan to avoid important blood vessels and only removed 42.75% of the liver. According to the surgeon, it is very important to retain as much liver tissue as possible for the normal recovery of the patient, and because the "below knife" is precise and ingenious, the patient has little intraoperative bleeding.

3D printing organs are widely used

Professor Fang Chihua said that the medical profession regards 3D printing as a technological revolution, which realizes the transformation from "human brain three-dimensional image", "computer three-dimensional image" to "real three-dimensional anatomical object".

Professor Fang Chihua described that 3D printing technology has a good medical application prospect. Nowadays, not only the 3D model of human organs is used for preoperative planning and indirect navigation of surgery, but also the organ tissues with 3D printing, such as jaw bone, organ scaffold, skull, spine, pelvis, etc., have entered the clinic. In the future, 3D printing of living tissues and organs will be realized, which will contribute to the in-depth study of human diseases.

In addition, the 3D printing model can also be applied to pre-operative discussion and training for young doctors, and it is convenient for patients and their families to understand the condition in detail and correctly understand the risk of surgery, thus forming a good communication between doctors and patients and reducing the possibility of disputes.

However, there are still difficulties in the clinical promotion of 3D printing to guide surgery. First, it is expensive, and the finished product is fragile and vulnerable due to printing materials. It is understood that the 3D models prepared for this operation cost more than 3,000 yuan each, and it took more than 20 hours to print out.

Reagent Strips For Urinalysis

Urinalysis test strips refer to test strips that test for bilirubin, urobilinogen, ketone bodies, ascorbic acid, glucose, protein (albumin), blood cells, PH, etc. in urine.
Detection principle
1. pH: The pH value in the range of 5-9 is measured by the pH indicator, and the pH value of the fresh urine of a normal person is between 5-7.
2. Nitrite: The reaction is based on the reduction of nitrate to nitrite by Gram-positive bacteria in the urine. The nitrite reacts with p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid to form diazonium compounds, which are then combined with N-(1-naphthalene) )-3 aminopropanesulfonate combined with a pink color.
3. Glucose: According to the reaction principle of glucose oxidase, glucose oxidase specifically oxidizes glucose to generate glucuronic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Under the action of hydrogen peroxide, hydrogen peroxide oxidizes the indicator and turns color. .
Classification
Urinalysis test strips are divided into visual series and machine series. The visual inspection series is divided into several models according to different inspection items; the machine inspection series is divided into several models according to different applicable instruments.
1. Classification by measurement method
1) Visual inspection series
When observing the result, compare the color with the standard color code within the time specified on the color code, judge and read the result.
2) Machine test series.
For instrument operation, refer to the instruction manual of the Urine Analyzer used.
2. According to the number of measurement items
There are single-item, 2-item, 4-item and multiple test strips. Currently, 10-item or 11-item multiple test strips are most commonly used in hospitals.
3. Classification by structure
Urinalysis test strips with single-layer membrane structure and multi-layer membrane structure.
