This temporary limb rescue vascular short circuit (TLSS) is a two-layer plastic sleeve that connects the ends of a severely injured blood vessel, provides a connection around the injured area, and restores blood flow to the injured limb. This device is designed primarily for battlefields and other remote areas to temporarily maintain blood flow to injured limbs until the patient is transported to the operating room.
